We present a simplified version of a cocktail featured on a new drinks list. This is a large-volume pre-mixed which is loaded full of flavours associated with holiday season, which makes it perfect for your celebration. Save the extra syrup for morning drinks, desserts, or to make additional servings of this cocktail.
Bikini Recipe
Makes enough for 10 guests
For the Clementine Syrup (makes 750ml)
300ml fresh clementine juice
200ml newly squeezed lemon juice
500g fine sugar
Ingredients for the Drink (yields 850ml, to serve 10)
400ml decent vodka
100ml dry gin
150ml peach-flavored liqueur
200ml citrus syrup (from the recipe above)
A few cranberries, to garnish
Mandarin essential oil, for finishing
Instructions
To prepare the Syrup: Place the listed items in a pan, heat until it reaches a gentle boil, mixing until the sugar dissolves. Next, take off the stove and leave to cool completely. Pour into an sealable bottle, seal and store chilled, it can be stored for about one month.
Preparing the Cocktail Base: Mix the specified liquids into one sizeable container, let it rest for one hour, then pass it through best through muslin, so it's perfectly clear.
When ready to serve: Add 85ml of your cocktail base into a stirring glass packed with ice, gently stirring gently for one minute to chill. Pour to a chilled martini glass or a similar vessel, top with a few cranberries and finish with a brief mist of mandarin oil over the top.
